Noelle V. Banuelos began her career as a public school educator. After earning a graduate degree in Educational Psychology, she began her research and evaluation work in LAUSD, managing evaluations of professional development, adult ESL programs, and other curriculum-based initiatives. Dr. Banuelos earned her Ph.D. in Social Research Methodology at UCLA, with an emphasis on evaluation. Her work focuses on promoting evaluation use, organizational learning, and informed decision-making. As an independent consultant, she has designed and implemented large scale federal evaluations of educational programs as well as smaller district and school-based evaluations. Recent work includes assessments of Head Start programs, item development for national assessments, research and evaluation for a regional AB86 Adult Education Consortium, and analysis and reporting for after-school program evaluations. Dr. Banuelos also serves as part-time faculty in advanced quantitative design and methodology for two doctoral programs.
